We always wonder what it would feel like to walk in someone else's shoes. The idea of spending the day with Candice Olson was exciting. I had absolutely no idea what to expect. What an inspirational day it was! From the moment we met in the hotel, I was mesmerized. Her striking stature and warm friendly personality is comforting; immediately my best girl friend from years past.

Audience members, myself included, tweeted throughout her presentation.
An energetic crowd filled every seat at her presentation
Following a fantastic luncheon in New York City the previous day, we arrived at the Boston Design center to a crowd that lined the main hallway. Her fans came out in full force seeking individual pictures, autographs and a glimpse of a "Design Rock Star"! She is as gracious and personable as she appears on her two HGTV shows "Divine Design" and "Candice Tells All." Hundreds of designers and fans took pictures with her and gained the access that was so important to them.

Her presentation to 300 plus design professionals was like watching a taping of her show live. She gave us the same tidbits and wisdom of her design philosophy that she does each week on her shows.
After the presentation, we were bombarded by a lineup of even more fans that wanted to meet Candice. The Kravet showroom was all abuzz with flashes from design papparazzi and customers wanting a piece of stardom. An hour later and hundreds of pictures captured and tweeted to the cyberspace, our star, Candice and I needed a much deserved reprieve and a glass of wine.

A great day, successful market and wonderful company. My walk in the shoes of a TV star has ended. What a thrill!
