The secret is out! Kravet is pleased to announce CuratedKravet.com, a to-the-trade only e-commerce site launching on Monday, April 20. CuratedKravet.com offers designers customized exclusive designs and unique home furnishings and accessories hand selected from the global design market, offered made-to-order or in-stock and ready to ship at the click of a button.

Designers can shop CuratedKravet.com three ways: by category, by trends, and by curated rooms. Noted design talent, including inaugural “curator” Alexa Hampton, style rooms that are fully merchandised with CuratedKravet.com furniture and accessories for a complete “shop-the-room” experience. Future curators include Nick Olsen, Barbara Barry, Barclay Butera, Candice Olson, Jeffrey Alan Marks, Jonathan Adler, Nate Berkus, Thom Filicia and more.

Kravet and the 2014 Design Bloggers Conference

Earlier this month, a group of more than 300 interior designers and design bloggers from across the country descended on Atlanta for the fourth-annual Design Bloggers Conference. Kravet was a major sponsor at the conference, bringing in keynote presentations from Jeffrey Alan Marks and Candice Olson, two beloved interior designers and TV stars who have collections with Kravet (Jeffrey’s launches this Fall). Jeffrey’s presentation was a relaxed Q&A with Kravet marketing EVP Beth Greene and Candice presented a slideshow of before-and-afters that had the audience gasping with delight.

After her appearance at the Design Bloggers Conference, Candice headed over to ADAC, where she participated in a fun Q&A with HGTV Magazine editor in chief Sara Peterson, moderated by Kravet’s marketing manager Jennifer Powell. Their candid tales of first jobs, embarrassing moments and career advice had the audience in stitches, proving why these two ladies are at the tops of their game.

In years past Kravet has hosted an event in New York City each Spring called Blogfest, but this year we shook it up a bit and decided to merge the best part of Blogfest (the networking and celebrating!) with the Design Bloggers Conference. HGTV Magazine and Kravet co-hosted an incredible party in our showroom on Tuesday night to close the conference, and we had a blast toasting to our friends, old and new.

The next day, the team at ADAC hosted a “digital” market day, with panel discussions and presentations that addressed important questions about the changing digital landscape as it applies to our industry. Jeffrey Alan Marks and Suzanne Kasler discussed how to get design projects published with Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles editor in chief Elizabeth Ralls in front of a sold-out audience, then sold copies of their books in the Lee Jofa showroom.

Conference attendees generated millions of social media impressions, from tweets and hashtags (#dbc2014 and #kravetblogfest), to photos and videos shared on Instagram, blogs and Facebook. Atlanta was the embodiment of Southern charm, and we were honored to be involved in such a big way. We are always looking for ways to connect with designers through social media, and this particular event was a great collaboration between national companies like ours, design centers like ADAC, top design talent, great event organizers like the folks at Design Sherpa, and of course the Atlanta design community.

Kravet Announces Jeffrey Alan Marks Fabric Collection

 

New York, August 2013 – Kravet, the industry leader in to-the-trade home furnishings, is proud to announce a new collection of fabrics from renowned designer and star of Bravo TV’s Million Dollar Decorators Jeffrey Alan Marks. Kravet has worked in collaboration with Marks to develop a fresh and spirited family of fabrics set to debut in Fall 2014. 

This exclusive collection will coincide with Marks’ signature design by nature philosophy, seeking inspiration from his laid-back, California lifestyle.  Designs will exude style and luxury in perfect sync, exhibiting clean lines and classic, harmonious proportions.

creating beautiful fabrics at affordable prices. Expect to see lots of my signature beachy blues and forest greens,” said Marks, “We've developed a number of exciting prints that are fresh, vibrant and sophisticated, wovens that have wonderful texture and depth and few surprises that I can't wait to start using in all my projects.”

About Jeffrey Alan Marks

Jeffrey Alan Marks is a California-based interior designer and furniture designer who is best known for starring on Bravo TV’s hit show Million Dollar Decorators. Named one of “the town’s most-wanted decorators” by The Hollywood Reporter, Marks believes in fun and creativity, influences of which can be found in both his work and his own personal style. Marks originally started his career as a model while studying design at the Inchbald School of Design in England. He later lived in Milan and Paris, where he still draws inspiration today. Marks started his own firm, JAM, Inc., based in Santa Monica, focusing on both luxury homes and commercial projects. Marks is celebrated internationally by his devoted clientele.
