CuratedKravet.com offers designers customized exclusive designs and unique home furnishings and accessories hand selected from the global design market, offered made-to-order or in-stock and ready to ship at the click of a button.

Designers can shop CuratedKravet.com three ways: by category, by trends, and by curated rooms. Noted design talent, including inaugural “curator” Alexa Hampton, style rooms that are fully merchandised with CuratedKravet.com furniture and accessories for a complete “shop-the-room” experience. Future curators include Nick Olsen, Barbara Barry, Barclay Butera, Candice Olson, Jeffrey Alan Marks, Jonathan Adler, Nate Berkus, Thom Filicia and more.

Kips Bay Honors the Kravet Family at President’s Dinner

On Wednesday, April 1, a crowd of more than 700 interior decorators, fashion designers, philanthropists and socialites gathered at the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club’s annual President’s Dinner, helping to raise nearly $900,000 to fund critical after school programs for more than 11,000 children the Bronx Club supports.

This year’s gala, which celebrated the organization’s 43rd annual Show House and 100 years of service for children, honored the Kravet family for its continued commitment to charitable giving. Cary Kravet accepted the award on behalf of the company, thanking everyone in the extended Kravet “family” who have supported Kravet through nearly a century in business. Tables were draped in vibrant Jonathan Adler Vionnet All Blue linen by Kravet.

The President’s Dinner serves as a prelude to Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club’s largest fundraising event of the year, the Decorator Show House. The internationally recognized Kips Bay Decorator Show House invites the country’s premier interior decorators and architects to transform a luxury Manhattan space into a month-long exhibition of awe-inspiring design, attracting more than 20,000 visitors each year. This year’s Show House will take over the Arthur Sachs Mansion at 58 East 66th Street in Manhattan’s iconic Lennox Hill neighborhood from May 14 - June 11. Tuesday’s Trends – Yellow and Grey

Welcome to the very first installment of our new series called “Tuesday's Trends”! Catchy isn't it? We certainly think so. Tuesday's Trends will cover the latest trends that our design teams in their travels have "unearthed" in home decor. The best part is, it will come to you through your inbox every week. Something to look forward to!

For this inaugural post, we would like to pay homage to Jonathan Adler, whose modern aesthetic is a mainstay and quite identifiable in the design industry, as well as Thom Filicia, another one of our favorite designers extraordinaire! The chic color combination of yellow and grey hits the nail on the head. We just can’t get enough! The marriage of these two colors can bring any decor to an entirely different level. It exudes freshness, luxury and modern sensibility.

Year in Review – 2012 Show Houses

The concept of a show house is simple: showcase the work of various interior design talents to sell a house/ promote the designers/ raise money for charity/ promote the sponsors/ throw great parties/ all of the above.

Often, the selfless process of being involved in a show house on any level reaps many rewards, and that’s especially the case for the show houses created to raise much needed funds for a good cause.

At the year’s end, it’s important to reflect on the good work done and the dollars donated to further the cause of helping others. Here, we’ve created a round up of the show houses we’ve featured throughout the year that cast light on charitable organizations doing great work in our communities.

As we prepare to welcome 2013 with open arms, let us continue in this generous spirit, and do even more in the year to come. We hope you enjoy the holidays, and have a very Happy New Year.
