The latest addition to the furniture offerings available through Lee Jofa is a collection from Atlanta designer Robert Brown for Holland/ Macrae.
His collection bridges the gap between traditional furniture and the sleek modern and transitional styles on the market today. With so many homeowners living with antiques and looking for modern, high quality coordinates, this collection fits the bill.
An advocate for mixing old and new, Brown appreciates the history of design and strives for versatility both in his design work and through his furniture collection. Brown is often inspired by menswear, particularly masculine colors, beautiful textiles and tailoring. As for his design style, he favors a palette that is calming and inviting, and not too formal.
“I tend to use a lot of texture and neutral colors in all of my work. I like to really ‘layer’ the design,” said Brown. “I typically infuse color in small doses.”
The collection is available in Lee Jofa showrooms and through our website. Click here for more on Robert Brown.
Jennifer Powell had the opportunity to chat with Robert during Blogfest 2012 at the Lee Jofa showroom in the D&D Building in New York City, and he shared some insight about the collection. Take a look:
