Monday night’s DIFFA gala brought out the Who’s Who in the interior design world, both in person and on the tables. Ann and I arrived at work yesterday and, laughing, realized we were both wearing Diane von Furstenberg dresses. “Didn’t you love her table last night at Dining by Design?” she asked. We agreed that the fresh prints on her table inspired us to break out of our boring black dress routine and try to wear some color. It’s a wonderful cycle of fashion inspiring interiors, and interiors inspiring fashion.
Her table featured many of the items introduced earlier this year in her new home line, which includes plates, flatware, stemware, serving pieces, accessories and more. The Dining by Design table displayed a mix of bright prints and patterns set against a black backdrop for a sophisticated yet playful feel. Around the corner at the AD Home Design Show, her booth displayed additional tabletop designs and a rack of duvet covers, which is part of her bedding collection, in many signature patterns.
We were inspired to reach into our closet for bold graphic prints and we hope you will be too after seeing our photos. Enjoy!
