14th Annual New York Chocolate Show

This weekend in New York City, the smell of rich dark chocolate floated through the warm Chelsea air. Chocolate lovers of all ages filled the Metropolitan Pavilion to check out the latest and greatest from the world’s top chocolatiers at the Chocolate Show. I was fascinated by the color combinations. I expected nothing but warm milky and cool dark browns but I was surprised to find many color combinations. As a design staple, just as in the culinary world, chocolate brown pairs perfectly well with so many colors. It is a beautiful neutral and bold statement all in one delicious package. Enjoy!

A new collection of trimmings is now available from Calvin Klein Home, distributed exclusively by Kravet. The trimmings, inspired by the colors and textures found in nature, are a first for the brand and are designed to complement the latest fabric collection by Calvin Klein Home.

The trim embodies pure clean lines set against subtle contrasts - matte against shine, smooth against texture, quiet against bold. Metallic accents add glamour to a neutral backdrop of deep brown, grey, watery blue and taupe. Textural elements enhance the look of the trim, providing the perfect finishing touch to upholstery, drapery and home accessories. Modern and refined, the trim gives added dimension while reflecting the timeless luxury of the Calvin Klein Home brand.

Jennifer Lopez’s Glamorous Home in Veranda

Between her new job as judge on American Idol and her role as wife and mother to twins, it’s no wonder Jennifer Lopez craved a serene retreat in a soft neutral palette for her California home. Featured this month in Veranda, the home was designed by the talented Michelle Workman. We were thrilled that Michelle found so much inspiration at Kravet, and featured our fabrics prominently in this project. Holiday Decorating with Metallics

Decorating for the holidays is an exciting and creative process. These days, many people are choosing to break from the traditional styles and colors of the season and are choosing metallics to add glamour to their holiday decorating schemes. Mixing silver and gold, matte and shiny, anything goes when capturing the spirit of friends, family and fun. As an added bonus, metallics often integrate seamlessly with existing décor.

Metallic fabrics are also a great way to add some shimmer to your holiday decorations. Today’s metallic fabrics are not only soft, they are also durable and available in range of colors, from gold and silver to an entire palette of traditional colors with a hint of metallic sheen, like the Kravet fabrics pictured below.
