Dining by Design is the most successful fundraiser of the year for the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA). The event, now in its 13th year, is the 'toast of the town' and one of highlights of the design industry's social calendar.
Held in New York City on March 18-22, Dining by Design featured table designs from prominent sponsors and design partners including Benjamin Moore, Kravet, Ralph Lauren Home, and many more. Creativity overflowed and the atmosphere was celebratory and optimistic.
The tables were on display in conjunction with the Architectural Digest Home Design Show, which was open to the public. A space dedicated to DIFFA showed more than 30 tables styled in unique, comprehensive themes by the industry’s brightest stars.
The event kicked off with Cocktails by Design on Thursday night, and continued with the Table Hop and Taste event on Sunday before culminating in the main event, the gala dinner Monday night hosted by Cindy Crawford for JC Penney and her husband Rande Gerber.
The next Dining by Design event will take place in Kansas City on April 30 – May 1. Chicago and San Francisco will host Dining by Design events in November.
DIFFA is one of the country’s largest supporters of direct care for people living with HIV/AIDS and preventive education for those at risk. To date, DIFFA has raised more than $38 million for AIDS service organizations nationwide. To learn more about DIFFA or to make a donation, visit www.diffa.org.
